History of the Center for Reproductive Health

The Center for Reproductive Health (formerly the Center for Reproductive Endocrinology and Fertility) opened its doors in 1998 by Dr. Edwin Robins as the first Reproductive Endocrinologist in Spokane.  The Center opened in conjunction with Northwest OB/GYN, a firmly established and well-known medical practice comprised of obstetricians and gynecologists devoted solely to women’s health care.  Though a division of Northwest OB/GYN, the Center operated as an individual entity in itself, offering highly specialized services in the relatively new area of medical practice known as reproductive endocrinology.

The first IVF series was in October of 1998 in which 15 cycles were completed with 11 live births.   We have been off and running ever since with numbers of cycles per year and live birth rates climbing every year.  The Center has developed a large following both by word of mouth and physician relationships.  The 10 year live birth pregnancy rate overall has remained one of the highest in the state.  Our Dr. Robins and his team travel to Montana to see patients and spend time with physicians in Missoula and Helena and more recently Kalispell and Whitefish.
